Do you believe that women have the highest buying power? You’d better start believing now! I love to shop and I love a couple of really cool boutiques in Nashville. It is a therapy! A few days ago, I was reading a Vogue magazine about a powerful woman, a fashion pioneer Natalie Massenet who changed the online fashion world. I was gathering all the exciting content about her because she truly inspired me in the article about  her journey as a fashion visionary.

Fashion is more than crazy outfits or expensive shoes…

Fashion is more than crazy outfits or expensive shoes, tight jeans, runway fashion looks. It is about escape into the world that makes us feel good. It is ART. It is an Oasis for every woman today. When you buy designer shoes you look for experience, feeling elevated, excited about yourself and how you feel. You feel pampered. It is a treat for many average women. Women want to feel beautiful, desirable, loved and once they put the high heels Guicchi shoes or get that small short Versace dress or Prada purse they have created mini world for them only.

Why do women buy? What drives them to get the credit card and out and go shopping? Why do women have the highest spending ability?  Reading the article about Natalie Massenet company, Net-A-Porter I was very shocked to see that 99% of her clients are women and some even spent over 30k per transaction!  Her company ships goods all over the world and provides the coolest experience… That is a key!

Experience matters. Fashion is next.

Women buy for many reasons. It  is how they think. It is what they see.

1. Women buy with their eyes

They have picture of how the tight jeans will look on them

2. Women feel loved and pampered

Women love to shop because it is an experience to pamper their soul and their mind

3. Women buy to feel connected

Women want to connect with other women who love the same fashion style and they have a great reason to talk about. Today they can share feelings, photos, give feedback in social networks.

4. They want quality.

European women always craved quality rather than quantity. They believe in having few fashion pieces than the closet full of  low quality goods

5. They want to look good for their spouse or a date

Women do care about how they look!  They save money to buy shoes and dresses to feel attractive and beautiful! Women buy because they love compliments and it is like honey to the soul!  Desserts are no more needed..

6. Price does not always matter..

Creating new experiences matter and learning to discover more about themselves is the mission of many women.

In a business world women shop more because all the decisions are emotional based. It does not mean every woman has a shopping issue. No. Women buy because they care about somebody and want to buy a gift. They buy baby gifts to a newborn of their friends or neighbours. They make better decisions when it comes to cooking and going to the grocery store. They can even negotiate the biggest discount in the most expensive stores. They know how to talk!

Still women learn to be bargain hunters but still have the highest buying power!
