Coffee Chat: 5 Lessons I learned about real business success…

Lets have a coffee chat about true business success and I will share a special story. You must have read dozens of books on success, motivation, marketing! I know you did…But the success can not be read in a book. It is a journey. It is something we must experience ourselves.

Real business success includes hard work, sweat, tears of disappointments, tears of joy, doubts and starting over!!! In the past 5 years working from home I learned many life and business lessons. They were not always pretty! But they taught me the most important lessons: faith, strong intuition, self love and action.

Lesson 1: Faith and Belief

Never give up. We might fail for many reasons sometimes because of our own ignorance and not listening to our intuition.

Lesson 2: Intuition

We face obstacles to prevent us from making huge mistakes. Our inner guidance is telling what to do and what not to do. Trust me you might mess up and it is okay. Learning to make decisions and actually seeing the results will build awareness and develop our intuitive guidance.

It will allow us to see the partners we want to choose in business and clients we want to attract. We will be able see true friends through all. We see who is a taker, energy vampire and who is a real go giver!!

Lesson 3: Self love

That includes you must continue giving back to yourself. Giving your time, your energy back to where it belongs – YOU! Are you a real go giver? Do you take time to know yourself and setting time for learning new things, relaxing and doing things you love to do?

Lesson 4: Inspired Action

Do you take some action to serve and be helpful in your community when you know it is the right thing to do and it feels right? Thoughts of kindness do not bless. Action do…Do you believe in serving others to restore their family wealth, their relationships, their peace of mind.  Do not attend all networking events with your own agenda and feel because you have to… but then, you forget the main purpose of networking and serving others. Inspired action is always positive and people will feel it.

Lesson 5: Passion

Infuse people with your inspiration and passion but first learn more about your passion. When you have true passion for something it opens doors. People feel, see your energy. They know you and they are more willing to recommend your business or products to others.  Passion is a huge factor in my life. If I have no passion I get bored easily!

When my husband lost his job 3 years ago I could have been bitter and blain his company, society and economy…But…We had to work on our own mindset and step by step to get to where we are now. Through this journey I learned to love who I was and honor my talents. I learned to believe in something that seemed impossible. I had to take an inspired action to see the results. I made big mistakes and I made small mistakes. I learned a lot about myself and my character. I learned a lot about my wants and my inner desires.

Interesting thing I learned to have more fun and be open to new possibilities.  I entered the world of unknown. I took knowledge of what I had known as a publicist, PR strategist, a writer, a trainer and started my new healthy coffee business, launched a new coffee lounge group on Facebook for coffee and tea connoisseurs, innovative entrepreneurs, moms who want to bring more income into families.

Book PR Training Series: Book Buzz Press Release Strategies To Get More Visibility

You have passion, your have an experience you want to share and you write a book or you might have a product that has been your baby and you want the world to see it…You are putting together a publicity plan and want to reach the right audience. After working with authors and product creators in the past year, and assisting them with their book publicity I recognized one thing- every book is the leading tool to get more speeches, get more radio interviews, get more credibility, get more sales and build a solid authority.  As we speak I am writing my own book and I know publicity is a long process and we must develop patience and  honor our purpose!

I have decided to put together training series and today I want to start with basics. Just a little tip, allow 12 months for a good publicity campaign. Start early and work through changes, adjustments and you will need time to get media attention. Rome was not built in one day!

So…you want to get some attention!

You must write and write a good story!  You should show you are a marketable author or a product creator and that there is a need for your service or book.  Is your book marketable?Determine your ideal clients please!

Here are some guidelines to help you to craft a story that can get results. Remember being a story teller is an art and requires you to have passion and love for what you do….If not.. you will sound like a cheap salesperson!

Focus on the following rules:

1. Write an attention-getting headline. Announce the release subject with active verbs and colorful happy words. Focus on the product, your book, not yourself. Write down the words that describe the book, your product. Now use some of those words to craft an attention-getting, yet accurate, headline.

2. What’s your lead? A lead is the opening statement that tells what the press release is going to tell the world about. Focus on specific solution that your story will solve.  What are the key facts about your book,  your product  you can write in the one or two sentences that comprise the first paragraph of your news release? Focus on couple facts only.
3. Use those facts to write your lead – your compelling opening statement offering a preview of what else is to come in the release – here.
In your second paragraph, expand and give more details. This is a good place to introduce the book title, your product name. What else do we need to know? Share you expert opinion.
4. Include a quote after you’ve presented specifics on the book. Why did you write the book? Why do you think it’s useful? This is where you can share your opinion. Focus on information not presented elsewhere in the release.
5. Give us unique details about the book or your product in bullet points. Get even more specific here, after that second paragraph. What’s unique or special about your product or book? What differentiates it from other books in your category? List key facts below to guide you when you write this section of the release.
6.  Include how your customers can get FREE product, sample or demo. Make sure put the links.
PS.  I also want to share about tips sheets.
Tip sheets are very effective and not many biz owners use this publicity tool. However it can help you with your book PR.
What is a tip sheet? A tip sheet is a specific type of press release that offers advice or tips in bullets. Big difference- the body of a tip sheet-type release will include advice or bullet points.  You can use daily advice you share and turn into a list of tips. Great tool for magazine PR.

Sitting at a table here at the Fido coffee shop in Hillsboro Village, I see all the coffee drinkers. From lattes to mochas, decaf coffees, hot chocolate drinks and even simple teas… It made me realize… the coffee industry is huge! Coffee brings a special feeling to people.  We actually share more than coffee. We share love with a cup of coffee.

Do you love coffee? (Well I’m sure you do since you are reading this post!) I love coffee. As a writer and business consultant, I spend certain days of the week in coffee shops. I love to meet new people and feel the happy energy around me!  I love the warm feeling that it brings to my soul. It brings back memories of home, when we used to save some money to buy coffee. I am talking about good coffee. I grew up on instant coffee; Nescafe one of the hottest coffee companies in Europe. My mom considered it a treat to have afternoon coffee time with some chocolate or cookies. But personally, for us, it was a time to talk and reconnect.  I miss those days!

The Ladies’ Guide to Becoming An Unstoppable Female CEO…

One Friday night while staying at the hotel on my business trip,  I decided to watch a movie called “New In Town” with Renée Zellweger . In the movie, she was assigned to be a manager at a small city plant in Minnesota.  She was a very proper and classy lady who found herself in the middle of nowhere.   Her life and business would completely change in few short hours. She had to adjust  to a very provincial lifestyle… She was a city girl who learned to live in the country environment.

As I was watching this  movie, she reminded me of myself and how I found myself in the very small town in West TN at the age if 19.

The movie was very slow, but it brought great points about my personal life, my career and some understanding of what it REALLY took to start my own company, to become a woman – CEO in this business world ruled by men.

Let me ask you a question, “What does it take to be  the best female CEO? What mindset do we need to have to become the best we can be in our business?”

Here are top 10 things women should think about:

1.       Acceptance of who you are NOW.

You do not need to wait for years to make everything perfect in your life. The perfection is not up to you and will exhaust you!

2.        Your ability to adjust.

Women are talented at multitasking and they can adjust to changes in their business and their amily life.

3.        Women learn and try new things and see the beauty in the most simple things.

I believe we can create luxury moments in life without waiting for them to happen. I often buy flowers whenever I want and they do not have to cost a fortune! Today I stopped and got beautiful roses for less than 5 dollars a bouquet. Luxury lifestyle is not always expensive and simple things create this lifestyle!

4.       Being a boss.

Women can have role of a boss, be taken seriously and they do not have to perceived as “a B- word boss”.  The movie “The Proposal” comes to my mind when I think about a woman being a boss. She was portrayed as a selfish,  unkind, uncaring woman with  no emotions. But in reality women can be better CEOs because of their nurturing personality.

5.       Bravery.

Women have courage to take new tasks. They are accountable and loyal.

6.       Creativity and innovation.

Women get inspired by new ideas and take an immediate action.

7.       Taking a risk

Women are risk takers.  Are you willing to take a risk when you do not know outcome? Do you expect your success  to happen when things seem very dim?

8.       Understanding people.

Are you interested in mastering human relationships? Do you have patience to listen and learn about others?

9.       Believing in others and yourself.

Can you motivate yourself and others to see the best in them? Start focusing on yourself. Trust me…Without loving yourself and knowing what you want and believing in yourself you cannot totally and completely believe in others. Honor yourself and then you can honor other people skills and talents! You will see them more clear because you know who you are FINALLY!

10.   Enjoying what you do. 

Do your daily choices bring joy into your life? Do you consider your daily actions serving your highest purpose?

What I loved the most about the movie was the fact that women could do a lot of things. They could be trusted in the business world run by macho men. They can make great decisions. Women have patience.

One thing…to remember that women should not try to change themselves and try to be and act like men.   When they start doing it, they loose the essence of who they are, being a WOWman.  Women are born to create harmony, love and beauty at home and in the workplace. They can create and must have the financial abundance. Who says women should be only stay at home moms or leave their ambition in the walking closet! Women have the guts and they should use it!

God shows NO favoritism …So…you get the point!

How to infuse your life with passion by letting go…

Are you seeking more passion and inspired moments in your life? I realized one thing that in order for me to fill my mind, my soul and my heart with passion and inspiration I had to let go of the past. Totally. Completely. I had to create a flow in my life and allow joy, abundance and success come back to me.

It was a Friday evening. While listening to the clock on my fireplace and sipping on a glass of merlot, I reflected on situations that happened to me in the past. Does the past come back to haunt you when you think you released it? How do you know that you totally let go of your past?  Is it a cycle of old and new emotions that never ends? How do you know that you have totally let go… and how did you let go? Do you know if it was the right way and for the right reasons?  What if …when we let go…it comes back even stronger, but in a different way? Is it all a total cycle of madness?

For me personally, the intention was a big deal. For me it was the forgiveness and awareness that what happened in my life was a life lesson. Often God uses crisis situations to get our attention and make us stronger. Learning to let go is asking God to release you from the past and ask the ghost of the past to release you. It had to be a strong intention, so strong that I felt it was a force pushing through me like a strong army tank. I needed to release people from my life that were “energy vampires” and unhealthy situations that were preventing my personal and business growth. I knew that the pain of “letting go” would be less than the pain of holding on to it, letting it intoxicate my body and mind.  It started with a decision to let go, even though I was afraid to let it go or hope that it would work out somehow and dissolve on its own.

But, let me ask you… Do we really want to let go of the past? Does it serve some crazy life purpose or our own ego? We hold onto things and put them on the shelf “just in case”. We put people in this “special treasure chest” and keep them at bay, so we can control situation.  Then we see that other people do that to our lives and our hearts.  However, the cycle has to stop. It’s time to live a healthy life.  We feel it is totally out of perfect alignment and it is a total discord or chaos. I am sure you’ve heard people say, “Cut the cords with him or her …Let it go!”

I did… sometimes I believed that I did… sometimes I did release it all for certain. I remember the nights I prayed, “God, take these people out of my life and take me out of their life…” I knew some situations were drops of poison. Often this poison seems sweet, and it is hard to let go… however, it is a BIG must!

You would think, “Tatyana that is easy to say…” No, I did not say it would be easy.  I know it is not like a balloon that you let flow into the sky and watch as it disappears into the clouds.  We must know the main reason and motive why we should let go of certain things.

The level of understanding will come when we can cut cords with old relationships, old ideas and old business partnerships. Set the intention to RELEASE and ask God to release you from the past, old ideas and events… that they be released from your mind, heart and soul. God knows your intention and your decision.

Remember, when we do that, we enter into a new field of energy and we will experience a new growth. Like branches of a tree that often need to be cut to experience new growth and flourish! I grew up in Russia and my parents used to have a very beautiful orchard with apple, plum and cherry trees. We had to cut branches from these trees every year so that they could be healthier and grow more… in order for these trees to heal faster we let them rest, nurtured them with water, sun and time.

Remember once you decide to let go, all you have is TIME. Time can heal if you let it. You must trust the process. No one knows the outcome, no matter how eager we are to know. That is the magic of true faith… God loves surprises! Believe me, it will be better than EVER… once you let go. The one person you can trust is YOU!

Once you learn to listen to your heart,  you will learn how to let go  and manifest things in your life that are meant to be.  Good things are waiting for you to let go so they can RUSH into your life!
