My “Aha” moment…

In Hollywood movie stars love to be recognized. The famous walk of fame is covered with the names of countless stars. Fans go wild over these names and memorabilia pieces that belong to famous people. Tour buses are loaded with tourists who crave to know the lives of these successful people.  They are so focused on learning about the lives of other people that they often forget their own, immersing themselves into a fantasy world.

As a publicist, part of my work involves spending time observing what these celebrities do to gain the attention of the media. I often wonder what they are willing to do for that undivided attention to gain and maintain a celebrity status and garner those standing ovations… and sometimes getting negative publicity.  Most of these “events” or “situations” are nothing more than PR stunts, which are capitalized upon to get more attention and more eyeballs watching his or her steps, knowing the development of the “scandal story”. Strange enough, negative PR is often considered a successful piece of work. Crazy right?

However, lets talk about real positive success! How do we achieve success? I am on the same journey with you my friends. I am also discovering new things through this journey and I want to share my “AHA” moments with you.

Often we seek the best business partners, best friends, best spouse, etc., to achieve the best, flawless life. We chase after them, trying to chase their life. The truth is we cannot and we should not. We can pray over them and send them positive thoughts, but they will never change unless they make up their own mind. As you can see it is about their mind. But…What about yours? You can achieve the best in your life when you start working on yourself.  When  you start transforming your life, your business will change, you will start to value yourself more and you will attract the right people into your life naturally. You will NOT need to force yourself to bring the right people. They will show up and stay in your life. Your new circle of influence will be people who want to see your succeed and help your grow your business.

Remember your best business partner and your best friend is your subconscious mind!  What you think, feel and do today can determine your next step.  Stop asking people to change their life so YOU, my friend, can feel better! Start working on your heart, your mind, your life.  When you really dig deeper and see what needs to be tweaked, improved and transformed, trust me… you will have a lot to do! We have ENOUGH to work on every day. Do not panic if you see too much trash in your mind… this just means that there is a lot of “mental poop” that needs detoxing from your mind!  Take a baby step today. One step at a time. One step closer to YOUR success!

Life can change because of your own decisions. You can achieve any level of success in life by focusing on YOU and on NOW.  You will be an example of success. Your journey of success will become your publicity! Your influence will be powerful and solid and your inspirational story will touch the lives of many people.  The people around you will be those who reflect your true soul, your heart and your core values!

One more thing that helped me to change my attitude… I started thinking good things about the world and that the world also plots in my favor and does things to enhance my life.

Have a great day my friends!

  1. Tatyana, you have provided a fanatastic start to my day. It is self-evident: changing oneself creates a much greater capacity for happiness and success, than anything you say or do to try to change another person. I love your writing!

  2. Great post!
I like the way you check out what others do gain PR, you’re always learning from others who are successful.
That’s why you do such a great job doing what you do.
Keep up the great work 🙂

  3. Guidance so beautifully and truly expressed, Tatyana! You are so right… many people loose sight of themselves and their own uniqueness by becoming followers, blinded by trying to model themselves on others and their successes (even those attention-getting negative “successes”) or trying to change others… instead of focusing and working on themselves. With clarity, conciseness, and positive passion, you’ve shown the better way! Thank you for all the PR wisdom you share, Tatyana!
