The 7 Success Key Factors For Entrepreneur I learned from James Cameron

Discover The Success Key Factors I Learned From James Cameron

Do you truly want to know the critical factors of success? Do you really believe that all movie celebrities live the life written about them in major publications or talked about on TV?  Do they become a celebrity for doing something they love to do or publicity professionals make them to look as celebrity? Did they create their own success stories or publicity experts did all the work for them?

Few weeks ago I had a privilege attending an awesome event in Nashville TN, at the finest establishment, called “The Standard”, a southern fine dining restaurant, in the support of the local fashion designer, CEO and Founder of “Prophetic” a new clothing line, and MUSE elementary school.  The event celebrity hosts happened to be Mr James Cameron and his lovely wife Suzy Cameron. The crowds and media gathered around them as they came into the VIP ballroom. I could feel a little bit of tension and excitement when the media and their friends surrounded them. Everyone wanted to get their attention and spark a conversation with them.

Everyone wanted attention of celebrities to feel special

My husband and I were watching them from the distance. I noticed that Suzy Cameron was talking to young  designers who came from Michigan State University to participate in a silent action. They were laughing, taking photos and enjoying each other. I noticed some people were trying to jump in front of them to take a photo with them. Personally, I did not want to jump in and talk about movies. It is not my style and honestly he was not there for that reason.

I slowly came up to him and started speaking to him. To my surprise he realized I was russian and spoke few russian words. He told me about his trip to Russia for his famous movie “Titanic” and what it took to learn about the ship by studying from Russian submarines. We talked about kids, life, homeschooling, being parents. We NEVER talked about his movies especially his latest hit “Avatar” which by the way got inspired by his wife Suzy.

What I learned from the conversations with Mr. Cameron that he became such a huge celebrity because he followed his passion. He did not have a goal of being celebrity.  He believed in his work and his dreams. He believed in being creative, innovative and taking his viewers in his world away from their world. He created a huge following and people know when Mr Cameron makes a movie it would be fantastic. Isn’t that an interesting example of real success principles?  He has created a huge following of the loyal fans because he LOVES what he does.

The  success key  factors can be as simple as our passion to do what we are called to do

Also by observing Mrs Suzy Cameron I saw a woman who is passionate about working with kids and for kids. Her current project with MUSE elementary gave hope to many kids around the world and an opportunity for everyone to participate in it and have a huge impact on the world.  Her passion for improving lives of others were the key success factors that impacted the world and created the quantum shift in the mindset of the people on this planet.

Here are the most critical factors of success I strongly believe in:

1. When you have a passion and a belief in what you do, being a celebrity is not your main agenda

2. You will become a celebrity in your fan eyes by BEING YOU and BEING Innovative

3. You do not have to convince ANYONE to be your friend, read your books, watch your movies, buy your products. People will buy because they LOVE It.

4. Find what you love to do by asking yourself what would you do if YOU NEVER had any EXCUSES.

5. Live up to your EXPECTATIONS and not everyone’s else.

6. You cannot be in charge of your own reputation. People will determine your reputation and your credibility and it will differ from person to person.. Let go of it.

7. Know your purpose. It does not have to be the greatest purpose on the planet. You may not want to be famous and that is fine. It is what makes your heart sing today and tomorrow.

Enjoy your day!

  1. Hey Tatyana,

I really like this line “When you have a passion and a belief in what you do, being a celebrity is not your main agenda” – it was when I started sharing what mattered to me, and the things I was doing that I started getting more and more readers & followers..

Being yourself is often overlooked but it’s the only thing that separates us from the masses..

    thanks for this great post

  2. Hector that is great that you realize that and will make you much stronger in your business.. You stick to your values and right followers will come!…

  3. Working in television and my pastime of organizing events for non-profit organizations, has given me not only the ability to meet influential people and celebrities. But it has also made me a celebrity in the eyes of others, so I can see this situation from Mr. Cameron’s point of view.

You become a friendly acquaintance to Mr. Cameron and if you were in the same situation, I’m sure he would look forward to talking to you again.

Following my own passion, I was able to meet my own childhood heroes. The thing is I did not know it at the time, it was only after I had the time to reflect on my past that I was aware of it. In fact, one of those heroes just emailed me a few days ago and informed me he had two more grandchildren and was nursing his wife through recovering from a knee operation.

His comments about driving past my old home on the way to town caused him to think of me, was more valuable than anything I could describe. He included a photo of a project of which he started working on while I was there. It was then that I realized that we shared the same passion and our passions brought us together our conversations made us friends.

What made us friends was that we had shared our personal lives our journey and our struggles to achieve our goals. Those struggles which will continue for as long as we are alive.

So as long as you are sharing your passion you will automatically align with those who also share that passion. Don’t try to think about success and manipulate those around you to achieve it.

    Thanks for sharing,
    Positive Success,

  4. Very nice article. I like how you found depth of meaning from your experience. A good list of success factors . . .
One thing, for those who don’t think they know their purpose, don’t stress about it, as some do. Rather, just go in the direction of it. Follow what you love and enjoy at a deep level and more about your purpose will come to light.
