Entrepreneurs challenges: How to overcome an emotional meltdown

My dear entrepreneur!

This story is for you…

Over the past two years, my life had many ups and downs. To be honest, I had a lot of challenges and self discoveries that brought heartaches, but also made me very strong. I learned one thing through it all and that was to be TOUGH!!! I’m sharing something I hope will give YOU more strength…My life as a PR coach, a mom, and a business woman has changed.

Recently, on my Facebook  wall, I posted a discussion about storms of life.  We all talked about hitting rock bottom…but you know what?… it is all good!!! I’m sure you are saying, “WHAT?!?… WOW!… HOW!?”

People asked me,  “Really, you made it?” …my reply? I never intended NOT to MAKE IT!!!

One thing I learned, just in the past few weeks, when I was VERY stressed and began experiencing an emotional melt down, not wanting to move or get out of my bed… I did not even want to talk to anyone, even my best friends!!!  I allowed myself these days. I DID NOT deny the pain. I embraced it! And you know what?… I got through it and learned that I WAS strong and my strength was growing. I see crystal clear now – when we are WEAK we ARE strong! I am sharing it with you as a way to inspire you because so many people are afraid of negative emotions. They need to come out. Then, like a sea after a storm, you obtain an inner peace!!!

How did I achieve that?

Every day I prayed for guidance, courage and wisdom. I relied on GOD and his power to give me a lift through people in my life that matter to me and for those whom I hope I matter too (at least I felt this way and saw it through actions)! Every day my meditation was on understanding, feeling and embracing love for myself. I knew what I do and go through is to learn to love me more again like it was before but now even stronger!

Am I vulnerable in sharing it? Heck Yes! But, I know pain can also be the most rewarding experience. Challenges do not hurt us. They motivate us. I cannot say I regret the way things worked out in my life… not as I wished them to be, but…

…I know it is EVEN better NOW than I ever thought. I have gained courage and wisdom. I have new doors opened to me. I am grateful to people who see my talents and skills. I opened something we often close- our hearts!!!

A Lesson you can learn here:

YOU are very powerful. Unstoppable. When you hit rock bottom, you become exhausted…You feel drained…your heart is empty…but, strength is picking up! That empty cup is becoming filled with love, wisdom and power.
From here, you only go up… only FORWARD! Only then will you feel like an eagle ready to fly! You feel powerful because of the LOVE that you FINALLY have… for yourself!

But how you do define love for yourself when you know things in your life were not the best?!?

Loving yourself does not mean always closing your eyes and not seeing your flaws. It is loving yourself enough to recognize them and work on them.

Do that from a place of love and honor for yourself!

  1. Get post Tatyana,
I think the key lesson here is to work on things through prayer and meditation. It is fine to give yourself a few days as long as you are doing the work on yourself. So many people just “wallow” in self pity and stare at the tv. This gets you nowhere. I think you did the right thing by looking at the issues and facing them head on. GREAT JOB!!!

  2. Great article. It is true, you do get stronger when you hit rock bottom, because you are no longer relying on your own strength, but a higher power. I love the scripture that says he makes the way out. Thank you for the encouragement today!

  3. Your article is truthful in that we all struggle with life, however our mindset makes all the difference. Allowing ourselves to release negative emotions and acknowledging our flaws to work on them is empowering.

  4. Dear Tatyana thanks for sharing this, and it is important for many to hear that negative emotions really teach us, we evolve so much quicker and meditation is something so powerful, it can take you out from any dark place and put in the light…

  5. Beautifully written, Tatyana. It’s clear you’ve figured out that you can allow your vulnerability because, when handled healthily and with heart, it transforms into strength. BTW, what people see as my “adventurous life” is actually a series of volatile ups and downs … and by allowing the downs to be deeper, the ups are magnificent. Sounds like you “allow” the same in your life. And no one can say our lives are dull, can they! 😉

  6. I think it’s true that when we get through one of those valleys of overwhelming emotion, we come out of it with more strength and better prepared for the next challenges.

  7. Sharon

It seems we are Gemini’s are so same..but heck we are all human with ups and downs..thank you Sharon!

Will you are so RIGHT. valleys of emotions..we come out strong. What does not kill us make us stronger..

    Thank you

    Tat
